How can you tell if artificial turf is aging?

Artificial Turf was born in the United States in the 1960s and introduced to China in the late 1980s. It was not widely promoted until the mid to late 1990s. After a long time of development, Artificial Grass technology has been relatively mature, many technical indicators are closer to natural grass. Anti-aging is one of the most basic requirements for artificial turf, whether it is used as a landscape decoration or a sports field.
Commonly used artificial turf has a lifespan of 6-10 years. In the process of a long time of use, artificial turf will inevitably appear aging phenomenon. Although the aging of artificial turf is uncontrollable, we can still judge whether artificial turf is aging in advance by some methods, and extend its service life and duration as far as possible. Here we share with you four phenomena of artificial turf aging.
01 Straw fiber wear degree
Artificial turf in a long time after use, will cause artificial turf grass fiber wear. Grass fibers will more or less split, split, and even fall off, especially on school playgrounds where they are used more frequently. The high intensity of the game and the long-term use of artificial turf has greatly shortened the service life of artificial turf. Therefore, when buying artificial turf, we must choose products with good quality and excellent wear resistance, which can reduce the wear and tear consumption of lawn to a certain extent, avoid the loss of grass fibers and lawn replacement, and reduce economic losses.
02 The fading of straw
There are several reasons why artificial turf grass fibers fade :1. Grass fiber quality is not qualified, such as anti-aging agent, poor production process; 2. Environmental factors, such as strong ultraviolet radiation in some areas, acid rain corrosion, industrial pollution, etc.; 3. The quality of the fill contaminates the lawn, causing the grass fibers to fade and fade.
Corroded bottom of artificial turf
The bottom of the artificial turf is PP material. The bottom of an outdoor Football Field is relatively easy to crack after being exposed to the sun, sun and rain. In addition, some ground overall drainage is not smooth, the bottom of the long-term immersion in water, will cause the bottom of the artificial lawn rot, accelerate the aging of artificial lawn.
04 The lawn connector is loose
As we all know, artificial turf is not a complete lawn, but is made of artificial turf spliced and then pasted with special artificial grass glue. Therefore, when laying artificial turf, we must find a professional construction team, the use of high quality special artificial turf glue bonding, otherwise it is easy to cause the white line and joints loose or broken. If properly bonded, the joints should last as long as the artificial turf.
